Welcome to River View Middle School!
The name River View depicts the location of the school overlooking the Fox River, built originally as Kaukauna High School in the early 1920’s.
The eagle mascot was selected to tie into the local environment as eagles are frequently viewed soaring over the school grounds. The eagle has a strong sense of pride and independence as it soars and spreads its wings in flight, which we believe exemplifies the journey of young adolescents during their middle level years. We hope all current and prospective students and families share the same sense of pride and excitement that we have in our school and mascot.

RVMS serves close to 1,200 students in grades 5th through 8th. Our staff consists of over 100 dedicated and passionate educators who believe that all students will learn when we provide them with positive relationships, a rigorous curriculum, and engaging educational experiences.
The middle school years will inevitably come with a variety of academic, emotional, social, and physical changes. We believe in meeting the needs of all students with our multi-leveled systems of support. To further assist students through their changing life experiences, our students are placed in “teams” with a group of teachers that will work with them in their Math, English, Social Studies and Science classes. Being a part of a dedicated team allows students more opportunities to work closely with their teachers to build positive relationships. With the team concept in mind, our teachers participate in daily collaboration with the focus of constant improvement in student achievement.
While academic achievement is imperative to any successful school, we also work to establish the goal of supporting well-rounded and productive citizens of the 21st century. We work hard to provide our students with a variety of options to meet the needs and interests of our diverse student body. Our wide variety of sports, clubs, and activities offers something for everyone.
