National Guard

The National Guard is a unique element of the U.S. military that serves both community and country. The Guard responds to domestic emergencies, overseas combat missions, counterdrug efforts, reconstruction missions and more. Any state governor or the President of the United States can call on the Guard in a moment’s notice. Guard Soldiers hold civilian jobs or attend college while maintaining their military training part time. Guard Soldiers’ primary area of operation is their home state.

Army

The Army is the largest military branch in the United States. Its job is to protect the country and its citizens. The U.S. Army offers a young person the opportunity to immediately train and work in an in-demand career field while earning a competitive salary and fringe benefits, including healthcare and money for college. 

Coast Guard

Since 1790, the Coast Guard has safeguarded the American people and promoted national security, border security, and economic prosperity in a complex and evolving maritime environment. The Coast Guard saves those in peril and protects the Nation from all maritime threats.

As a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, a law enforcement organization, a regulatory agency, a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community, and a first responder, the Coast Guard employs a unique mix of authorities, broad jurisdiction, flexible operational capabilities, and a network of partnerships. The Coast Guard is the principal Federal agency responsible for maritime safety, security, and environmental stewardship in U.S. ports and inland waterways, along more than 95,000 miles of U.S. coastline, throughout the 4.5 million square miles of U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), and on the high seas.

Marine Corps

Side by side, Marines keep our nation on the winning side. Comprised not of a brotherhood or sisterhood—this is a warriorhood. Marines represent the face of our Nation because they come from all parts of it, contributing different backgrounds and walks of life into the fight that defends America's way of life. Driven by an innate desire to answer our Nation's call, an unwavering commitment to emerge victorious, and a collective purpose that defines our unbreakable bond, Marines win the battles in front of them with an inner fight running through them.

Navy

Honor. Courage. Commitment.  From the early days of naval service, certain bedrock principles or core values have carried on to today. They consist of these three basic principles. The Department of the Navy will recruit, train, equip, and organize to deliver combat ready Naval forces to win conflicts and wars while maintaining security and deterrence through sustained forward presence.
