Scholarships

Scholarship opportunities are all around us ... hundreds of opportunities through local, federal, state or private institutions. Please browse our scholarship database below or find additional search links to the right, to see what might work for you!

Scholarship sponsors pay out scholarships according to their own timetable. Some require proof of registration for semester one, and some are after successful completion of your first semester of college.

There are a number of additional files, pages and scholarship search engines that you can use as you work through the process of applying for and securing scholarships as well, including:

If you need an official transcript for any additional scholarships, please see Mrs. Rueden in KHS Student Services; she will print one for you and add the official seal.

Local Scholarships

Kaukauna High School offers Local Scholarships for graduating Kaukauna High School seniors.  We are very fortunate in the Kaukauna Area School District for our many scholarship sponsors and donors allowing us to award thousands of dollars to deserving students in our district. The Local Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students in the amount of $500 to up to $6,000 dollars.  The scholarship cap for students is set at $1500, however, students can go over the capped amount in some cases such as the student receiving a scholarship worth more than the capped amount.

To be eligible for a local scholarship, students must complete the following:

  • Attend a mandatory meeting at the end of January or the beginning of February of their senior year.  Meetings are typically held on a Wednesday in the KHS Auditorium during the last week of January and are offered 1st-5th periods during the school day.

  • Complete a checklist indicating which scholarships the student is applying for

  • Complete the application and essay (There is one main application and essay, however, some scholarships may require additional information). The deadline to submit an application for local scholarships is two weeks and is determined by the mandatory meeting date.

Please find additional information and scholarship materials in Xello.

On or prior to early May, all local scholarship applicants will receive an award letter indicating whether or not they will receive a local scholarship. Additionally, please notify Mrs. Rueden in Student Services if you've received a merit scholarship from your college/university or any other organization and would like to be recognized during Senior Awards Night.

All recipients of a local scholarship must attend Senior Awards Night, held annually in May, to receive their scholarship.
