Summer School

To improve the registration experience, we are dividing registration into 2 phases so fewer people are registering at one time.

Previously, the registration system checked each course for student eligibility, which caused slowdowns during high-traffic periods. To improve performance, the system no longer performs these checks, ensuring a faster and smoother registration experience.

The title of the course includes the grade levels that are able to sign up for that course.

We will contact you to inform you that your child will be removed from the class and help you reschedule into a class that has open seats and they are eligible for.

The course is likely full. Course seats are limited based on equipment and to ensure student safety.

No, you do not need to register for classes in all 3 time sessions, however, child care, supervision, and transportation are not provided between sessions.

In order to provide a smoother experience for parents, we will not be automatically rostering students into courses when they register. Courses will show up in the Parent Portal schedule within a few days of registration.

Transportation is available to students currently in grades 4K-7th within the KASD boundaries.

No. Families must register for transportation before the registration window closes.

No, transportation for summer school only runs at the beginning and end of the summer school day. Students must be signed up for a course in all 3 sessions to qualify for transportation.

There is not a cost for course registration. However, if you are interested in transportation, the cost is $45 per student which must be paid via credit card upon course checkout.
